Meet Kelly Brusch

Kelly Brush is a natural born caretaker who has taken her passion for people and family dynamics to a whole new level. Kelly’s curiosity and dedication to truly understanding all aspects of women, babies, birth, and birthing families led her to a graduate degree in counseling from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo.Â

Her continuous passion for knowledge guided her around the world for additional training; mastering Rishikesh Yoga in Bali, Indonesia, Maternal Movement through the Gilligan's Guide, and, finally, to global certification in both labor and postpartum doula work through the internationally accredited doula certification organization of ProDoula. This unique skill set truly sets Kelly apart from many birth professionals, as she has a true mastery and understanding of the inner workings of the mind, body, and soul.Â
Kelly has been supporting birth, babies and families worldwide as well, caring for families around the country and overseas. Her years of experience, and exposure to a wide range of different cultures, has given her a deep understanding of the truly individual nature of each family’s birth and parenting journey.Â

It was Kelly’s own birth journey, and coming home to San Diego County that inspired the creation of Doulas of North County. A true community advocate, she saw the need to support and connect local families with each other, and their “perfect match” doula. Kelly then vetted and curated a roster of diverse, dedicated birth professionals to provide comprehensive, compassionate, unbiased, personal care to the growing families of the North County region.Â
Kelly, a true millennial in both culture and thought, enjoys yoga, hiking, and traveling. She loves cooking and hosting dinner parties, and styling her home to create intentional spaces to live and work in. If Taylor Swift is in town, you’ll find Kelly shamelessly singing and dancing her heart out to every single song. Kelly, joyfully lives near the beach with her college sweetheart and their two beautiful children.Â
